📍 Location, Hours & Walk-Ins

Where are you located? We’re tattooing inside Moto Sonora Brewing Company, 1015 S Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85719. Yes, a real tattoo shop, inside a real Tucson brewery. Grab a pint, get some ink, repeat.

What are your hours? We’re open every single day, 1 PM – 9 PM. No days off, no “closed Mondays” … just walk in whenever the mood strikes.

Do I need an appointment, or can I just walk in? Walk-ins are always welcome. We keep flash designs ready to go for anyone who wants to walk out with fresh ink same day. If you want something custom or larger, an appointment is usually the better route so we have the time to do it right.

Can I drink a beer while I get tattooed? Yes. We’re inside a working brewery, and we have zero problem with you sipping a beer during your session (please keep it responsible… we want you steady, not sideways). It’s honestly one of the most Tucson things you can do: fresh tattoo, cold local pint, in the same room.

Is this a good spot for a first tattoo? Absolutely. Being in a brewery keeps the vibe relaxed instead of clinical, and our walk-in flash options are perfect for a low commitment first piece.

🎨 Consultations, Artists & Styles

Do you offer free consultations? Yes, and we strongly prefer doing them in person. Sitting down face-to-face lets us go over placement, sizing, style, and budget in detail so nothing gets left to chance or lost over text/email.

What happens during a consultation? We’ll talk through your idea, reference images, placement, size, and timeline, and give you an honest read on what’s realistic for your budget and skin. This is also your chance to get a feel for the artist and the shop before committing.

What if I don’t love the design draft? Then we’re not done yet. We won’t tattoo you with something you don’t love — this is a collaborative process, and we’ll keep refining the design together until it’s right. Your name is on your skin, not ours.

What styles do you tattoo? All styles. Whether you’re after bold American traditional, fine line minimalist work, black and grey realism, color, illustrative, pop culture/nerdy pieces, or Southwest/Sonoran Desert-inspired flash, we’ve got you covered.

Do you do coverup tattoos? Yup sure do. We do them a lot actually. Come in for a consultation so we can see exactly whats needed and whats possible for a coverup. Most of the time we can be more creative than people think.

How do I pick the right artist for my idea? Check each artist’s individual page/portfolio… everyone here has their own specialty and rate, so browse their work and reach out to whoever’s style matches your vision.

Do all the artists charge the same? No, each artist sets their own rates based on experience and style. Check the specific artist’s page for current pricing before booking.

💰 Pricing, Deposits & Payment

How much does a tattoo cost? Pricing varies by artist, size, placement, and detail … there’s no single flat rate shop wide. Check your chosen artist’s page for their specific rates, or bring it up at your in-person consultation for an accurate quote.

Do you require a deposit? Yes. All appointments require a deposit to secure your time slot. Our minimum deposit is $60, which covers simple outline/flash designs. Larger custom pieces may require a higher deposit depending on the artist and project scope.

Is the deposit refundable? No, all deposits are non-refundable. They secure your artist’s time and go toward your final tattoo cost.

What if I need to reschedule? No proble, just give us at least 5 days’ notice and your deposit carries over to your new appointment. Reschedule with less than 5 days’ notice, and the deposit stays put, no exceptions.

My friend/cousin/guy-I-met-at-a-party can do it way cheaper … why should I pay your prices? Good. Go see them. Seriously — if price is the deciding factor, that’s a totally valid choice to make, and we’d rather you go be happy elsewhere than sit in our chair wishing you’d shopped around. What you’re paying for here is a trained, experienced artist, a sterile and licensed setup, and a design we won’t let you walk out with unless you actually love it. That’s not for everyone’s budget, and that’s okay.

What payment methods do you accept? We accept cash, card, Venmo, Cash App, and Apple Pay …whatever’s easiest for you.

Do you sell gift cards? Yes! Gift cards are available if you want to treat someone (or yourself) to their next tattoo.

Do you sell merch? Yes, we’ve got shop merchandise available too. Grab something to rep the shop after your session.

🩹 Aftercare & Healing

How do I take care of a new tattoo? General aftercare basics: keep it clean, follow your artist’s specific wrap and washing instructions, use a gentle fragrance free lotion once it starts to peel, avoid direct sun, and skip pools, hot tubs, and soaking baths until it’s fully healed.

How long does a tattoo take to heal? Most tattoos heal on the surface in about 2–3 weeks, with full healing underneath taking up to a month or more. Everyone’s skin and immune response is a little different.

Tucson-specific aftercare tip: does the desert heat/sun affect healing? Yes. Tucson sun and dry heat can be tough on fresh ink. Keep new tattoos covered or in the shade, stay hydrated, and use SPF once healed to keep colors and linework looking sharp for years.

What if something looks off while healing? If you have concerns during healing, reach out to the shop directly. We tattooed you and know exactly what was done and can tell you what’s normal versus what needs attention. DO NOT ASK YOUR FRIENDS OR AI.

Do you do touch-ups? Yes — touch-ups are free within the first 30 days after your tattoo. After that window, we assume everything healed the way it was meant to, so touch-ups beyond 30 days may come with a charge. If something looks off, don’t wait, come back in while it’s still fresh.

🐘 Events, Traveling & Booking Us Out

Do you tattoo outside the shop, at events? Yes! We take the shop on the road for select Tucson events, including Brew at the Zoo at Reid Park Zoo…bringing flash tattoos to the crowd alongside the beer.

Can I book your artists for a private event or party? Yes, we’re available for event bookings, private parties, breweries, festivals, you name it. Reach out to us directly to check availability and rates for your event.

I’m traveling through Tucson , can I get a souvenir tattoo? Definitely. We’re an easy walk-in stop for visitors who want a piece of Tucson to take home. Grab a flash design and a local beer in the same visit before you hit the road again.

Do you need a deposit for event bookings? Yes, event and off-site bookings follow the same deposit policy as in-shop appointments…reach out for specifics on your event.

❓ General & First-Timer Questions

I’m nervous about my first tattoo, what should I expect? That’s exactly why we push in-person consultation… you’ll meet your artist, see the space, and ask every question you’ve got before any needle touches skin. And since we’re in a brewery, the atmosphere is a lot more “hang out with friends” than “sterile clinic.”

What should I bring to my appointment? Reference images or ideas (even rough ones), a valid photo ID, your deposit, and, since walk-ins are welcome and the brewery’s open… feel free to bring a friend to grab a drink while you wait.

Do you tattoo minors? Standard tattoo regulations require clients to be 18+ (or have applicable parental consent where allowed by Arizona law) …check with us directly for specifics.

How far in advance should I book? Walk-ins are handled same day whenever we have room. For custom or larger pieces, booking a consultation ahead of time ensures your preferred artist has the availability you need.
